It’s time to activate your dreams! If there’s any of your goals that you carried over from last year, and probably the year before you need to sit yourself down and ask some mean questions like: ‘are you serious with your life?’, ‘when are you going to ever achieve this goal?’ and many more.
Many people have dreams and goals but only a few get the desired results. This is another year, are you going to carry over that goal again?
You need to differentiate what’s in your power and what’s not. There are some things that only God can do for you, there are some that it’s others that would do it for you and there are yet others that only you can do for yourself. Identify them and act.
You probably have heard the story of Alexander Graham Bell. He is the one that invented the telephone, at least that’s what they made us to believe. He might have been the one if Elisha Gray had filed for his patent earlier. John Maxwell shared this story in his book ‘failing forward’. What really happened is that Bell filed for his patent hours earlier than Gray. Gray became too busy that he sent his lawyer, but alas it was too late.
Gray went to court, but the court upheld Bell’s claim. So you see, having a dream is not enough. This happened at a time when there was no internet. Now it’s easier to steal ideas. So act on your ideas fast. Activate your dreams.
Your dreams are not about you.
