In my university days, I started something I tagged ‘information 101’ due to my zeal to know more. As a result of this, I sought for information everywhere I could and would paste them on the notice board for people to read. Now I am doing the same thing, but this time I am pasting it on the world wide web in Today, we’ll focus us ‘tech’ ‘did-you-knows’.

Below are 9 amazing facts you never knew:

Sir Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web in 1989.

Approximately 2,596,134 e-mails are sent every second around the world.

Google now processes over 40,000 search queries every second on average which translates to over 3.5 billion searches per day and 1.2 trillion searches per year worldwide.

A single Google query uses 1,000 computers in 0.2 seconds to retrieve an answer. Every query has to travel on average 1,500 miles to a data center and back to return the answer to the user.

We have about 3.6 billion internet users all over the world and nearly a quarter of them live in China.
